The partnership
EPEX SPOT is a European electric power exchange covering Austria, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Great Britain, Norway, Poland, Luxembourg, Sweden, the Netherlands, France and Belgium, with services also provided to the Hungarian and Irish exchanges. In October 2023, enspired became EPEX SPOT’s first approved Professional Certified Trader (PCT). As a PCT, enspired can offer trading-on-behalf services to other trading members within the EPEX SPOT ecosystem.
The project
The groundbreaking service is fully integrated into the exchange, which means that all PCT transactions use the credit line of the Beneficiary and are automatically financially and physically settled on the Beneficiary’s ECC (European Commodity Clearing) account. With this new offer, EPEX SPOT gives market participants effortless access to a compliant, secure and truly integrated trading-on-behalf service for all or part of their portfolio.

The environmental edge
With a trading-on-behalf service so readily available, flexibility integration will become a much simpler and less restrictive process. This will have a positive effect on the transition to clean energy as batteries or renewables without a comprehensive cross-market trading option cannot meet the circulation quota that is needed to materialize change.
